Cultural Bridges in Germany: A Forum for Young Leaders (CBG)
Welcome
"Cultural Bridges in Germany: A Forum for Young Leaders" (CBG) is a network of young individuals, who share an interest in strengthening German intercultural relations. The forum provides a platform for interdisciplinary discussion and exchange on salient issues concerning German culture, society and related political and economic subjects. At the international level, the program seeks to analyze the roles and responsibilities of Germany in the emerging new world order. Through these discussions and exchanges, the forum plays a valuable role in strengthening relations between Germany's cultural communities and between its international partners.

Individuals can join the "Cultural Bridges in Germany" forum by taking part in one of the CBG Seminars/Conferences. These are held in Berlin every 6 months and focus on a specific theme related to the forum goals. During each Weeklong Seminar participants take part in panel discussions, lectures and seminars held by experts from the cultural, political, diplomatic, academic, and the private sectors as well as civil society practitioners. In addition to these academic components, participants will also take part in a range of cultural and social activities that will allow them to experience Berlin's unique history and cultural landscape. "Cultural Bridges in Germany: A Forum for Young Leaders" is open to all individuals with an interest in strengthening German intercultural relations and exploring Germany's challenges and opportunities, both at home and abroad.
About CBG Weeklong Seminars »
Weeklong Seminars are held every 6 months and consist of 4-5 day programs of lectures, and workshops, together with cultural and social activities. CBG Weeklong Seminars will be focused on a specific theme related to Cultural Diplomacy and German intercultural relations.
Seminar Speakers - The speakers during the Seminar will include leading figures and experts from international politics, the diplomatic community and civil society from across the world. Certificate of Attendance - All seminar participants will be awarded an official certificate of attendance upon completion of the seminar, which will also provide details of the speakers who took part in the event, and list the topics which were discussed.

Participant Papers »
The Institute for Cultural Diplomacy encourages research and progressive thought on the fields of culture, globalization, and international relations. As such, the ICD welcomes participants of the conference to submit relevant papers addressing topics within these fields particular to their interests and passions. Participants can submit papers written in the past for other purposes or ongoing research, or written specifically for the conference. Groups of students are also allowed to submit collaborative pieces of work.
ICD Alumni Program »
All conference participants will be invited to join the ICD alumni program. The "ICD Alumni Group" is an international network of like-minded individuals with an interest in further developing the field of cultural diplomacy through the support of intercultural relations. Participation in the group is by invitation only, and is open only to individuals who have taken part in ICD programs. (more)
